Customer Service Representative
(Job Reference Code 4703)
This individual serves as the initial point of contact for customers calling Allegheny Power on the toll-free telephone number. While talking with the customer, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) will enter data into various systems and at times interface with Allegheny field personnel and other groups within the Customer Service Center. The starting salary for this position is $23,500 with potential to progress to $41,500 per year.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Respond to all customer inquiries including service requests, meter disconnects, reconnects, complaints, cred it and collections, power outages and other calls regarding existing or new accounts
- Initiate service orders for completion by field personnel
- Update customer information files via computer input as part of the call and order taking process.
Education/Training/Experience

- Attentive to instruction, rules and detail
- Experience and skills with Windows-based programs
- Good keyboarding skills
- Must be available to work between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday – Friday and 8:00 am – 4:30 pm weekends.
- Must be able to work callouts when necessary.
This position requires successful completion of the EEI Customer Service Representative
(EEI CSR)
test.
